This project began during my sophomore spring semester, when I was invited to join the Ringling Design Center, with an opportunity that I would never expect. Joining the team early offered a new level of creative responsibility and the chance to learn within a professional environment. The brief called for a video project, one that would depart from previous years by feeling both cinematic and deeply personal.

As director, I led a small but dedicated team that brought the story to life. Kennedy Carruth contributed as writer and production assistant, Jas Gunarto shaped the motion design, and Alisa Nikishin, illustrator, actor, and the heart of the film, gave the project its emotional foundation. Together, we crafted a piece that balanced high production value with sincerity, ensuring every visual and moment served the story.

The outcome became more than a film. It was an exploration of leadership, collaboration, and creative trust. The process refined my understanding of direction and design as interconnected disciplines, both driven by clarity, empathy, and purpose. What remains is a project that feels honest and grounded, a reflection of both Alisa’s narrative and my evolving perspective as a designer and storyteller.
